Company Description The Client’s senior management identified the web channel and multichannel retailing as a strategic future revenue growth driver and decided to aggressively go after the online market place by leveraging its strong brand name and ubiquitous presence. The goal of the The project was to evaluate The Client’s existing eCommerce presence and find opportunities to increase online channel revenue 700% by 2007. Business Challenge Drivers Accenture’s involvement included key leadership responsibilities in overall Program and Project Management, Business Process Design, Application Technical Architecture, Build, Testing, and Change Management. Accenture leveraged it’s extensive expertise in the ASP marketplace to: Evaluate the existing applications and infrastructure and make hosting recommendations Provide “Best in Class” evaluations of competitor’s eCommerce functionality Participate in vendor evaluations Define Technology Solution Blueprint and Business Processes for Web Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, Fulfillment, and Stores for new eCommerce solution and Content Management Deliver EAI solution including design, development, and testing Team / Solution Approach Release one of the project launched in October, 2005. The new eCommerce site offers the customer enhanced functionality, including parametric search, product comparisons, customer reviews, and the ability to redeem pin based gift cards.
