中考英语试题解析版汇编之一单项选择——连词 【基础知识】 ☆.并列连词（coordinating conjunstions） 连词的分为并列连词和从属连词两种。 并列连词用来连接句子中担任相同成分的词、短语或分句。这类词常见的有：and，but，or，for（因为），both--and--，not only--but also---，either--or--，neither--nor--，so,yet等。 常用并列连词的用法如下： 1）and ①连接两个并列或对称关系的词、短语或分句，表示联合： 我们都在三年级。 The children jumped and sang happily. 孩子们在快乐的唱呀跳呀.。 ②表示目的 Lets go and see a film. 咱们去看电影吧。 ③表示承上启下，常放在句首。 And wed better ask our mother . 我们最好问问妈妈。 ④表示连续、反复。 laughed and laughed 笑了又笑 2）but 连接两个含义不同，甚至是反义的词、短语或分句，表示转折： I like English ,but I dont like maths. 我喜欢英语,但我不喜欢数学. This book is very cheap, but that one is too dear. 这本书很便宜,而那本就很贵. 3）or ①表示两者居其一，表示选择： Who won the match, Jim or Bill? 谁赢了比赛,Jim 还是Bill? Which sport will you take part in the high jump or the long jump? 你将参加那项比赛,跳高还是跳远? ②表示大约数 two or three days 两三天 more or less 差不多 ③否则、要不然 Lets move the bag away, or there may be an accident. 咱们把包挪走吧，不然会出事的。 ④either…or…：要么……要么……；不是……就是…… Either he or will get a new bike as a present. 要么是他要么是我，会得到一辆新自行车作为礼物。 Either he is wrong，or his brother is。 不是他错了，就是他弟弟错了。 4）for 补充说明原因和理由的分句，必须放在主句后： The shop is new, for it has opened only three days ago. 那家商店很新，以为它才开业三天。 I am thirsty, for it is hot today. 我由于天热而口渴。 5）both--and-- 用来连接两个并列的词或短语，但不能用来连接分句或句子： Both he and I passed the exam. 我们都通过了考试。 He is good at both football and basketball. 他不仅擅长足球，而且擅长篮球。 注意：当both...and 连接主语时，后面动词一般要用复数。如：Both Lily and Lucy are right. 7）not only--but also-- 不但能连接词和短语，而且还能连接分句。 When we talk about the universe, we mean not only the earth, the sun, the moon and the stars, but also all the things too far away to see. 当我们谈到宇宙时，我们不但指地球、太阳、月亮和星星，而且还指远得看不见的一切东西。 Not only did he tell me what to do , but also he told me how to do it. 他不但告诉我做什么,而且告诉我们怎样做。 注意not only位于句首时，主语和谓语需要倒装；后面动词采用就近原则,与but also后的词保持一致。如：Not only my parents but also my brother likes the cat. 8）neither--nor 表示“既不--又不”的意思。 Neither I nor he has this book. 他和我都没有有那本书。 I like neither this book nor that one. 这两本书我都不喜欢。 注意neither--nor--句中的动词通常要和邻近的主语相一致： 9）so 引导表示结果的分句。它引导的分句必须放在句子后面
