Lesson Plan (unit 10)
Goals:
1 This lesson aims to have students learn the knowledge of animals.
2 in the lesson, students can practice present simple questions and possessive adjectives.
3 The students master how to asking for personal information and inviting.
Materials:
Blackboard and multimedia equipment (a computer)
Key points:
Do exercises of present simple questions and possessive adjectives.
Provide the way to ask for personal information and inviting.
Difficult points:
How to let students master present simple questions and possessive adjectives.
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 revision and a brief introduction of the class.
Check the homework, review what we have learned last class.
The homework---a composition
Do some exercise of present simple questions.
Give a brief introduction of this lesson.
Step 2 some more animals
1 Have a discussion about the animals on the pictures. Ask questions about them, and tell the classmates what you know about them.
What do they live?
In trees, in rivers, underground, by the sea…
What do they eat?
Insects, plants ,mammals, fish…
Where in the world do they live?
In Asia Africa Europe Antarctica India Australia North American South America
2 a game
In this game, students are asked to write the names of animals---one animal one student, and students should tell what kind of types the animal is. If one student can’t keep on doing it, she or he should show us a program.
There is a list of animals in appendix.
Step 3 which animal is it?
1 Explain the dialogue and let students recite it.
2 Group work: Talk about the animals you like or dislike and tell the reasons.
A: What animals do you like?/ What animals don’t you like?
B: I like pandas. / I don’t like elephants.
A: What other animals do you like? / What other animals don’t you like?
B: I like tigers, too./ I don’t like lions, either.
