If you have not been assigned a specific topic, you might choose a subject in which you have personal interest, experience, research background etc . You may also get some good topics by skimming reference books or other materials. 2.Narrowing the Topic Your research will not move efficiently until you have narrowed your topic to a manageable size . Even before you visit the library, you can limit the scope of your investigation. If your general subject is “How to Develop the Students’ Four Language Skills” ,for example, you might limit yourself to : How to develop the Students’ Reading (or listening…)Skills”. 3.Writing a Title A title is the simplest way to express the centre idea of your research paper.
