Not until he came back home did we have supper.(主句倒装) Not only did he stay in the classroom, but also he never left for a moment. —Lily can’t swim. —Neither / Nor can Lucy. 强调谓语动词 Please do come early tomorrow. Tom does study hard now. He did write his homework yesterday. 强调除谓语外其它部分 It was he who/that finished the book at library before he went home. It was the book that he finished at library before he went home. It was at library that he finished the book before he went home. It was before he went home that he finished the book at library. 句式变化 It was at midnight that I woke up suddenly. It wasn’t at midnight that I woke up suddenly. Was it at midnight that I woke up suddenly? When was it that I woke up suddenly? Not until He didn’t go to bed until 12 o’clock. It was not until 12 o’clock that he went to bed. 强调句去掉It is / was … that / who … 仍是完整句子。 It was at midnight that I woke up suddenly. (强调) It was midnight when I woke up suddenly. (状从) It is 2 years since I began to learn English. (状从) It is clear that not all boys like football.
