Add: Foreign Studies College of Hunan Normal University Zip: 410081 Mobil: Email: dengyingl@163.com 内容提要：约瑟夫·康拉德的长篇社会小说《诺斯托罗莫》以其史诗般恢弘的场面、独特新颖的创作手法和丰富的思想内涵成为二十世纪的经典之作。我国学者对它的介绍和研究远为不够。本文从叙事学的角度对小说的螺旋式结构及其叙事功能进行研究，认为：在《诺斯托罗莫》中，康拉德以螺旋式结构的方式对生活、对历史进行了人为的、逼真的模仿。迂回曲折的螺旋叙述方式不仅产生了反讽的艺术效果，而且增强了小说的真实感，创造了浓郁的生活气息，使小说的认识价值和审美价值都得到了充分体现。这种小说诗艺结构的创设不仅使作者可以多层次、多角度、更加客观真实地反映事件, 再现历史，而且大大提高了作品的丰厚性、含蓄性和作品题旨的多义性。 关键词： 约瑟夫·康拉德;《诺斯托罗莫》; 螺旋式结构 Abstract: Joseph Conrad’s social novel Nostromo has become a classic in the twentieth century with its epical extensive scenes, original structure and profound ideology. But the study of it in China is far from being enough. This paper aims at interpreting the spiral structure of the novel and its aesthetic function from the perspective of narratology. It concludes that in Nostromo Conrad has made a vivid and artifical imitation of human life and history through the spiral structure which has not only brought about an ironic effect but a vivid and lifelike atmosphere. This poetic structure has enhanced the epistemological and aesthetic value of the novel and at the same time enabled the author to convey his personal experience and aesthetic ideas, to reflect society and human history more objectively and to enrich the implicitness and ambiguity of the novel.
