First definition Flu is also called the influenza. Its an infection that causes a?fever, chills, cough, bodyaches,?headaches, and sometimes earaches or?sinus problems. What Is the Flu? Second definition The flu is a respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus. The flu is not the same as a cold, although they share many of the same symptoms.
