Teaching aids: a tape record, pictures, slides and so on.
Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Review
Ask the students to answer:
How many months are there in a year?
What are they?
Then use a slide to ask: How many seasons are there in a year?
Lead in new lesson.
Step 2 Presentation
Use the slide to teach the new words: season, spring, summer, fall and winter.
Use the slide to present the sentence pattern: What’s the weather like in spring/summer/fall/winter? Teach the words: warm, hot, cool and cold.
Use the slide to present the sentence patterns: It’s a good time to. . . . , It’s a good season for. .. . Then teach the phrases like climb hills, make snowmen, and explain their meanings.
Ask the students to listen to the tape in 1a, and fill in the form out first.

The teacher asks the students to answer these questions:
