After that, the teacher organize the pre-reading activities as follows: Pre-reading activities Go through the new words; Have the students listen to the recording once or twice and finish the exercise; Check the answers to the exercise 4.5 periods Text A text-related exercises The teacher lets the students answer the text-related questions, helps them identify the main idea of each paragraph and analyzes some difficult sentences and some language points. (3.5--4 Periods) The teacher guides the students through the exercises, focusing on certain items or leaving some exercises as the students’ homework, according to the students’ different levels of English.
