study on soft measurement for lance position based on MLR and PCA-PCR Abstract—Because the lance position of oxygen-enriched air and top-blown furnace is affected by lance pressure, melt temperature, melt furface,the type of slag and other factors, it is difficult accurately measured.Firstly,according to production data and operation experience of the oxygen-enriched air and top-blown furnace, this paper analysed data dependence analysis,identified the main auxiliary variables of soft measurement model and established MLR and PCA-PCR soft prediction model of the lance position. Secondly,according to production data,through fitting and forecasting of these models, the results show that the MLR models forecasting ability is better than the PCA-PCR model. Finally, the obtained model is embedded in WinCC software platform and through practical application and further verify the feasibility of the model.The research may guide the production and lay theoretical foundations for the lance position control. Key Words: the oxygen-enriched air and top-blown furnace ;lance position; soft measurement; MLR; PCA-PCR INTRODUCTION The oxygen-enriched air and top-blown furnace[1,2] mainly uses immersion lance technology which makes the reaction effective and violent. In order to ensure the lance head can not be burnt and the normal melting state ,at present mainly adjust the lance position in line with the change of lance pressure.While the lance position is obtained by location incremental encoder.When the conditions (furnace temperature, pressure and etc.) changes,there is a big lag which from adjust the lance position to stabilize, and then measured the responding bit value of the gun.When severely abnormal conditions, the lance position measurement will be failed caused by lance severe jitter. Therefore,the purpose of this paper to establish the lance position forecasting model is :Firstly,according to the change of temperature, pressure and other factors
