Course Title: Seminar: Educational Management
Program Affiliation: Educational Economy and Management
Course Credit: 2 semester hours
Prerequisites: Graduate student status in the Education Program or permission of the instructor.

Catalog Description:
Development of management skills that enhance leadership. Includes understanding yourself, managing yourself, team building, personnel selection, group and individual decision-making, goal setting, problem solving, leadership/management development, conducting performance appraisal interviews, dealing with challenging people, and other topics of current interest.

Course Rationale:
This course was designed to provide you with an opportunity to the knowledge and confidence about certain topics and in a number of skills that will help you be successful leaders of change in today’s schools, college or university.
Conduct of the Course:
The course is divided into two sections. A brief list of topics, goals and /or objectives or key questions related to each section follows. These serve to give a general direction to each class but are not intended to restrict your learning.
Topics: Underlined parts indicate possible topics for reading cards.
The first 10 topics will be included. If time allows, some of the other topics will be covered. If so the class will determine their order of priority.
