There is no indication that such a bomb has been created or that theres a specific threat to the U.S., but intelligence has suggested that al-Qaida and like-minded groups are focused on perfecting an explosive that could be hidden in shoes, electronics or cosmetics. 　 Also, all travelers flying to or from Britain have been warned they may have to switch on mobile phones, laptops and other gadgets at security to prove they are working properly. British Airways warned on Monday night that passengers who could not switch on an electronic device when asked to do so would not be allowed to board their flight, with or without the item in question, as part of a new security protocol.
