I also thank my classmates; I am deeply touched with their warm hearts and disinterested help. Abstract Euphemism is not only a linguistic phenomenon, but also a social linguistics. As one of the important topics, euphemism plays an important communicative role in language communication. So it has influent the human language in addition to English euphemism. Euphemism is choose language by people results in a certain context, the use of euphemism, enriches the way of language expression, has the unique effect of language. In this thesis, we discuss the features of English euphemism expressions and the application of English euphemism. The whole thesis is composed of five parts including an introduction and a conclusion. Part one introduces the origin of euphemism, including the definition and the features of euphemism. Part two lists the development of euphemism. Part Three describes the application of English euphemism. The thesis mainly focuses on the features and the application in every filed.
