It used square and straight lines instead of circular and round strokes of the Zhuanshu scripts. 楷书（standard script） There was no Kaishu prior to the Western Han dynasty(206BC—8),The evolution of Kaishu from the square styled Lishu began in the last years of the Eastern Han dynasty(25---220AD). This new writing style largely blossomed during the Wei dynasty(220---265AD)and the Jin dynasty(265---420AD),about 1800years ago.Today,Kaishu is still a commonly used writing style, a very long and enduring Chinese writing script indeed. 行书（running script） Xingshu or “running script” appeared in the last years of the Eastern Han dynasty.
