Adding Tested Applications There are several ways to add an application to the Tested Applications collection of your project: you can do this manually or from tests, or TestComplete can do this for you during test recording. This topic describes the various ways to define Win32 and Win64 tested applications. To learn how to define WinCE-based applications to be tested, read the Adding WinCE Tested Applications topic. The application path is a computer-specific setting, and it may cause problems if you move your project to another workstation or if you share the project with other testers. On other computers, the path may point to a non-existing location, so you may need to change the project. To make the tested application’s settings computer-independent, use the relative path to the application, if possible. If you share the project among several testers, place the application in a shared folder and use the network path to specify the application. This will help other testers working with the project avoid problems with applications’ paths. See Avoiding Computer-Specific Settings for more information. Adding a file to the list of tested applications Right-click somewhere within the Tested Apps editor and select ?New Item from the context menu. TestComplete will display the standard Open File dialog. Use the Open File dialog to select the file to be added to the list of tested applications and press Open.
