Abstract
The late 20th century, especially since the 21st century, the rapid development of computer network as well as its widely used, has had a profound impact on the development of the world, it can be said, the computer network has become an integral part in our daily life.IPv4, as the initial agreement of the Internet, it should be said,doubtless,is already quite mature, moreover,have to say that the design of IPv4 should be successful, but with the scale of network and application requirements continue to increase, especially in recent years,the IPv4 existing problems have been exposed, such as the serious shortage of address space ,Qos quality of service, routing tables swelling and so on.In order to solve these problems, IPv6 came into being, IPv6 has 128-bit address of the space, which can effectively solve the problem of lack of IPv4 space. In addition, IPv6 has many other advantages, such as simplified header,Qos satisfaction, built-in security, and so on. Therefore,IPv4 to IPv6 transition ,which has become inevitable.
However, IPv4 to IPv6 transition can not be done overnight, the reason is that the current network is based on the IPv4 protocol, the majority of Internet hosts only support IPv4, and many devices only suppor
