II. Judge, according to the text, whether the following statements are true or false.
1. T. Refer to Paragraph 6. Evelyn stepped in a puddle of ketchup by accident and her food tray tipped and she lost her balance.

The word “strategically” in the phrase “from a machine strategically placed outside my room” suggests that many students had shared Evelyn’s terrible fortune and had to shun publicity by dining alone on the food served by the machine. So the food machine was strategically placed there to help those poor students out.
3. T. Refer to Paragraph 9. Phrases like “made my way,” “tiptoed to a table” and “collapsed in relief” show the extreme care she took to avoid anther humiliating fall when she dined in the school cafeteria for the second time.
