It just took me less then one hour in chatting with a small coffee bar’s shopkeeper. He told me something about foreigners’ attitudes towards some questions. And I am interested in finding the most truthful answers from the people’s hearts. For example, in the sight of foreign people, how do they think of Chinese on earth? The seven-day trip in Yang Shuo was the most exciting period of my university life. Of course, we do the travelers do in the travel place. Shopping, traveling, eating and learning are four usual things we do. The most important of all is learning. From what teacher said, there are plenty of opportunities we can have a conversation with foreigners whom come from all over the world, for instance, Americans, British, Canadians and Japanese, especially in a place named West Street. You can see that even the dining girls or shopkeepers in here they can say some different foreign languages and have a usual communication with those foreign consumers. Therefore, to me, Yang Shuo seems a magical place full of challenges. We have a lot of approaches to achieve the ultimate goal. There is no doubt that bargaining with shoppers was a shortcut to attract foreigners attention. When you were bargaining with others, someone who wants to buy something would focus on you. You should take advantage of this chance and said something to him. You can ask some question about clothes. Like, Do I look beautiful with this dress? Most of them will be ready to say a word: Ok, beautiful or good. That is a well start for developing further communication.
