Data from different sources should not be used together. Some of the data provided does not cover the entire business community . Issue of inconsistent business classification criteria. Improvements in the future The frequency of the updating of statistical data on SME should be increased. A ‘number of employees’ column should be added to the VAT declaration form. Statistical data on the marketing and RD of SME should be reinforced. A ‘gender’ column should be added to VAT data to support studies on issues relating to women in the workforce.
