Students’ language sense plays an important role when they learning English. But it often neglected by teachers and students, especially in rural primary schools. There is a big gap between urban and rural pupils at present. Most rural pupils are still in the state of Dumb English. The teachers are not deliberate to language sense teaching. Many pupils have blunt intonation and non-standard pronunciation, accustomed to rote, no language rhythm beauty while they are reading a passage or acting a dialogue. However, there are a lot of reasons for this phenomenon. For example, people neglect the importance of English sense training; students are lack of good language environment; shortage and low quality of English teachers in rural areas; the examination-oriented education causes the single language form and so on.
