He was fascinated by Bruce Lee(李小龙) in his childhood. After having seen Bruce Lee’s movies ,chow decided to study martial arts（武术）. In 1982, after graduating from high school, Chow auditioned（参加面试） for Hong Kong’s TVB acting school, but didn’t make the cut(录取). The next year, he was chosen to be master of ceremonies of the children’s program “430”(430穿梭机). He was not fond of children, so several years after that, he worked on a variety of programs, and moved into drama, becoming even more popular. 幻灯片 2 In 1988, Chow played one of the leads in the movie Pili Xianfeng, winning Best Supporting Actor at the Taiwan Academy Awards（台湾金马奖）. It was his first film.  He had his first starring role in 1990 in the movie-- DuSheng and started excelling in the comedy genre(类型).  Stephen became the number one of Hong Kong film actors in the 1990s, earning twice more than Jackie Chan . He made 29 films from 1990 to 1993. “WuLiTou” period “WuLiTou” was also called “make no sense”. It means that a person speak and do things that is difficult to understand, but it isn’t unreasonable. As we all know, he was the founder of the style “WuLiTou”. There are many movies which are very popular in this time. Such as: ZhengRenZhuanJia TaoXueWeiLong ShenSiGuan, LuDingJi, JiuPinZhiMaGuan, TangBoHuDianQiuXiang, WuZhuangYuanSuQiEr, JiGong, JiaYouXiShi DuSheng and so on. C
