Lesson 1 Talk(vocabulary)
I. Teaching contents:
Phrases: eating a snack drinking juice playing the drums watching a DVD reading a book feeding the hamster painting a picture drawing a map

The kids can recognize and read the new phrases.

VI. Teaching aids: card 64-79, a tape-recorder.

VIII. Teaching procedure
step 1. Warming up.
Play the children three rhymes.
Step 2. Greeting
(1).T: Good morning, boys and girls. How are you today?
Ss: Fine, thank you, and you? / I’m OK, and you?
T: Are you ready to go?
Ss: Yes, how about you? Uh-huh. Let’s go.
(2).Team 1, Team 2 VS Team 3, Team 4
(3). Student A VS Student B
Step 3. Leading in and review.
Do “pick it up” activity by using card 64-71.
Step 4. New lesson
Presentation.
○T show Ss PPT: some pictures of a snack, juice, drums, a DVD, a book, a hamster, a picture, and a map. T pronounces these words, and Ss repeat.
○T pretend to be reading a book, and ask: “what am I doing? I’m reading a book.” T asks a student A come to the front and do the same action. T point at him and say: “what’s he doing? He’s reading a book.”
○T drinks juice and say: “what am I doing? I’m drinking juice.” T asks a student B come to the front and pretend to be drinking juice. T points at B and say: “what’s she doing? She’s drinking juice.
○T use the same way to do with the other phrases.
○T hold up card 72-79 and say the name, Ss repeat.
○T imitate the actions of these phrases, Ss follow. Then T does the actions, ask Ss to guess the name of the phrases.
○At first teams read, then singles read.
○one student teach another student/ a team of Ss.
○After 2 words taught, T review these 2 words, then teach another 2 words, and so forth.
○ After 4 words finished, ask some Ss come to the front to do actions, other Ss
