English Teaching Plan Title Unit 6 Clothes Period 7 Designer Amy Teaching Aims The pupils can spell the words about clothes. The pupils can recognize and apply the phrases about clothes (including indefinite article, the adjective of colour and the noun). They can draw several pictures of clothes. Important Point The pupils can spell the words about clothes. Difficult Point Know exactly how to spell the words and apply the phrases. Planning Thoughts Learning in groups. Teaching Aids 1.tape 2. recorder 3. cards Procedure Adjustment Step one: warming up Review the words (just look at the pictures). Review the structure Phrase: article + adjective + noun Sentence structure: My favourite ... is ... 3. Sing the song: My favourite T-shirt. Step two: presentation Dialogue T: Whats this? Its a ... (present the word). T: What colour is it? S: Its ... Introduce the pupils to speak out a phrase: Its a blue shirt. The pupils speak out the following phrases individually a red T-shirt, a green skirt, a yellow shirt, pink jeans, blue trainers, brown shoes. The teacher sticks the words of colour and clothes on the board, and asks the pupils to find out the corresponding words according to the teachers orders. Step three: practice Complete the puzzle, draw and color the clothes. (Give a hint: the spellings of the words are in disorder). Presentation Following words can be modified with :a T-shirt , cap, dress, sweater, shirt, skirt Following words cant be modified with a, but can be modified with a pair of Jeans, socks, shoes, trainers, shorts Finish the language puzzle on page 55. Play a memory game With the help of one of the pupils, show the others how the memory game works. Take an eraser (or a pencil sharpener or any other small object) and cover the word written under one of the pictures in the book. If the pupil remembers, then it is his/her turn to cover a word and ask the teacher to guess. After the demonstration, pupils work in pairs. (The teacher listens with
