Methods The articles about the establishment of femoral head necrosis animal models were retrieved with the key words of “femoral head necrosis, animal model” at home and abroad for?analysis. Results　 The hormona, traumatic, physical and alcohol?– induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head, each of these methods had its own advantages and disadvantages. Especially the model of collapse of the femoral head was one of the difficulty. Steroid-induced in modeling approaches method which was more closely the pathological?process?of ONFH deserves more investigation. Conclusion There is no ideal animal model for the whole process of osteonecrosis of the femoral head date to now, the methods to establish the animal model still needs further improvement.　 【Key words】　Osteonecrosis of the femoral head Animal model Research advances Foundation items: National Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province(LY12H06002) 股骨头坏死（osteonecrosis of the femoral head ONFH）又称股骨头无菌性坏死及缺血性坏死，是多种病因破坏股骨头的血液循环造成骨的活性成分（包括骨细胞、骨髓造血细胞和脂肪细胞）坏死的一种病理过程，晚期股骨头塌陷，致残率极高[1]。因缺乏有效的防治方法，是骨科领域的难题。自1739年Munro首次描述股骨头坏死以来，各国学者在该病的病因学及诊治方面进行了大量的研究工作。但目前尚没有文献明确阐述股骨头坏死的发病机制，并且缺乏预防及早期治疗的有效措施。其中，很大一部分原因就是缺少一个能够模拟人类股骨头坏死全过程的动物模型。所以建立一个良好的ONFH动物模型以探索其发病机制及寻求更有效的预防治疗措施显得意义重大。本文结合近年来国内外研究文献，就ONFH动物模型制作方法的研究进展作一综述如下。 1.模型动物的选择 理想的动物模型应该具备以下几点：1.能够模拟人类股骨头坏死从早期组织学改变到晚期股骨头塌陷的整个病理过程，并能够控制坏死区域接近软骨面且与周围活骨相连，最好还伴有与人类相似的坏死区附近的修复反应。2.所选动物与人类的亲缘性、解剖和生理学特点尽可能接近。3.在坏死修复过程中具备与人类相似的正常股骨头生物应力。4.动物模型的重复性好、监测
