HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT: Asian American Leaders in Silicon Valley EXECUTIVE SUMMARY During the past year, Silicon Valley technology companies have focused even more on workforce diversity, and several companies have shown an increased transparency by disclosing previously confidential 2013 EEOC data. The EEOC data released by five large Silicon Valley companies (Google, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, LinkedIn, and Yahoo) allow us, for the first time, to analyze the number of employees in the pipeline of management classifications by gender and race.
