Engineering mechanics is the branch of physics that considers the action of forces on bodies or fluids that are both at rest and in motion. Engineering mechanics is the branch of engineering that applies the principles of mechanics to mechanical design. 工程力学是研究工程结构和构件在一定的载荷作用下的破坏情况 , 以及构件形式、尺寸、材料的设计的科学。 Statics Introduction 1. Statics deals with the conditions of equilibrium (平衡) of bodies that acted upon by forces. 即研究物体在力的作用下处于平衡状态的规律及其应用。 任务: (1) FBD Free Body Diagram 物体的受力分析。 (2) Reducting of (Resultants of) Force systems 力系的简化----即用一简单力系代替原有力系而不改变其对物体的作用效果。 (3)Equilibrium Equations 力系的平衡条件。 2.Inertial reference frames An inertial reference frame is defined to be any rigid co-ordinate system in which Newton’s laws of particle motion relative to that frame are valid with an acceptable degree of accuracy.
