课题名称 Vocabularies and pronunciation 教学目标 Linguistic objectives:. After the class, students are able to 1:pronounce the vowel /I/ 2:read the words in Unit I, especially the word with the phonetic symbol /I/ 3:tell the Chinese meaning of the words in Unit I. Strategic objectives: After the class, students are able to learn the new words through context. Learners Analysis The students that I am supposed to teach are the fifth-year students of the primary school in the town Mingliang . They have learned English for more than 2 years. The level of education in that town is not very high , so some students ‘ outlook is a little narrow and some students are not very interested in English . Students find it boring to learn and difficult to remember the meaning of them because They often remember the vocabularies through a list of words. Their pronunciation still needs improving. Materials Analysis The lesson that I am going to teach is “what is he like”in Unit I,Book1. The text book was published by People’s Education Press . This is a lesson of vocabulary and pronunciation. The vocabularies in this unit may be too much for students to learn , but in this unit, many vocabularies can be presented through pictures or actions. The pronunciation /I/ is not showed in the book directly, teacher need to analyze the words and find the phonetic symbol /I/ . 教学 重点 难点 Key points: pronounce the words Ways out: 1: ask students to listen to the chant first and write down some words(baby, happy,windy)and tell the Chinese meaning to students. 2:Listen to the chant again, and pay attention to the pronunciation of /I/ . 3:Order the following words(happy,candy,many,windy,sunny,baby,sorry,family,party) 4:Let students find the common point of each words in pronunciation and the lead to the pronunciation of /I/. Difficult points: remember the Chinese meaning of words. Ways out: 1:Teacher need to put the words (Ms, will, him, speak, finish into) to dialogues when teachin
