This year there are important changes to the conditions/guidelines, so please take a little time to read this page. There are four categories in the competition: ? Environment ? Business ? People ? Communications The competition is in two parts. ? Part A: Categories. We hope villages will enter all categories, but this is not essential. You may enter as many or as few as you wish, using the forms provided. However, only villages which enter all categories are eligible for the Village of the Year East, North and West awards. It is not necessary for the same person to complete all categories. ? Part B: ‘What Makes My Village Special’. All entering villages must include this. It consists of a statement in your own words (max. 500) about your village. When looking for the Village of the Year the judges seek a well-balanced, pro-active caring,
