It is a recognized custom for Westerners especially to send Christmas cards to their relatives, friends, classmates and colleagues before Christmas (December 25th) every year, with congratulations and wishes on them. The date: People do not need a date on Christmas cards or any other cards like Birthday cards but, if you want to, put the year.
