Linear Encoder The Model VL18 combines the opto-mechanical simplicity and ruggedness of an incremental encoder with the interfacing ease of an absolute encoder. Utilizing Gurley’s unique Virtual Absolute technology, the VL18 system is less expensive and more reliable than any conventional absolute encoder of comparable resolution and accuracy.
