Bill Richardson and Nuevo Leon Gov. Jose Natividad Gonzalez Paras agreed Thursday to encourage bilateral trade between the two states. This agreement recognizes the enormous potential for cooperation as both states work to create high- wage jobs, Richardson said. Gonzalez Paras said he looked forward to working with Richardson to strengthen relations with the United States. Creating economic diversity within our region is key to the success for our businesses and economies, he said. The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and Tecnologico de Monterrey in Monterrey will also cooperate in research and commercialization of technology to spur economic development.
