Lucy speaking. Janet: Hi, Lucy. Sorry to call you at work, but I couldn’t catch you at home. How are things? Lucy: Hi, Janet. It’s good to hear from you. I have been swamped with orders lately and doing a lot of overtime. Janet: Wow. Sounds pretty hectic. I was calling to see if you wanted to go out to dinner on Friday...catch up on old times. Lucy: Oh, Janet, I’d love to, but I am tied up until next week. I will be slaving away even on Sunday. Janet: Sorry to hear that. I was snowed under at work for a while, too. But now things are better. Lucy: Can I get a rain check? Janet: Sure. Give me a call when you have time. In Your Words Put the following phrases into your own words.
