Finally, I would like to present sincere thanks to my parents, who have supported and assisted me all the way in my college life.  Abstract Color words enhance the language connotation by their own magic. The different meanings of color words in English and Chinese reflect the different angles of observing things between Western and Chinese people. Owing to the cultural difference between English and Chinese, color words are endowed with different national feeling, which would cause misapprehending even wrong translation in communication. This paper takes some colors for instance to describe and compare the differences and similarities of intercultural perception of color words, and then introduces the application of foreignization and domestication in translation of color words from English to Chinese.
