The games are the best choice for the young students to learn. Because games cater to the physical and mental characteristics of children, which can help students learn well. Through the comparison in Canadian and Chinese games and some typical examples, I analyze the importance of games in English teaching. At the same time, I list Performance Assessment. Nowadays games are growing in popularity in English teaching class, because good games can engage student interest and lead into further study. They are Vocabulary Games, Pronunciation Games, Structural Games and Role Playing Games.
