Restructuring In the process of translation, we often have to adjust or rearrange the word order owing to the different syntaxes of Chinese and English languages. Generally speaking, English sentence patterns tend to put the near distance, the minor and specific first, in a weak-strong sequence, while the Chinese sentence patterns are on the contrary, putting the far distance, the major and general first, in a strong-weak sequence.
