Study of Passenger Transport Price Ratio based on the Transport Supply Chain

Abstract - The paper is a study of the passenger
transport, focusing on an effort to find put the bottleneck in
the passenger transport development in China through a
scientific analysis of the pricing relationships among various
modes of transport and further to show the pricing
flexibility of the passenger traffic in accordance with the
supply chain. Employing the analytic hierarchy process, the
authors chose a number of different types of passenger
transport in different routes and areas and made a
comparison and analysis of their prices, which was subject
to real demonstration tests. A conclusion is finally reached
that by adjustment of pricing, the transport supply chains
can be smoothly brought together in different transport
areas.

I. INTRODUCTION
Transport, a basic industry in a country, is vital to
the development of the national economy and society as a
whole. It is a complex system and can be categorized,
according to the transport modes, as waterway, highway,
railway, aviation, and tunnel, and according to agencies,
as postal service, multimodal transport agency, travel
agency, storage corporation, and transport contractor.
They are composed of the Chinese transport complex[1].
This mammoth system is divided into the passenger
and the merchandise transport while the passenger
transport is realized by waterway, highway, railway and
aviation.
In recent 30 years passenger transport has been
booming in China but its development has been
unbalanced so that its efficiency and service quality are
negatively affected and the various different transport
modes cannot be brought into full pla
