EXT. BOBBY’S FRONT YARD—DAY It is a beautiful summer day when the front door of Bobby’s middle class suburban home opens. Out pops Bobby, 6, an adorable little boy in shorts, a t-shirt, and glasses. He drags a folding table behind them, setting it up on the lawn. Bobby runs in and out of the house bringing various things out to help build the stand, like a stool, a sign written on poster board, cups, and lemonade. Finally Bobby tapes the sign to the front of the table. It reads, in handwriting that shows Bobby wrote it himself: “Super Lemonade! Never Be Thirsty Again! 5￠!” Bobby sits on the stool behind the table and waits. Bobby sees a MRS.HILL, 34, walking down the street towards him, and nods at her as she arrives. MRS.HILL Hello Bobby! This is quite the stand you’ve got here! She taps the folding table. Bobby looks up at her. BOBBY It’s a folding table. Mrs. Hill laughs and smiles. MRS.HILL Very good! It is! Bobby stares at her and frowns, then sighs. BOBBY It’s a nickel a cup Mrs. Hill, would you like one? As Mrs. Hill smiles and digs through her purse she looks down at Bobby’s sign. MRS.HILL “Never Be Thirsty Again”? She laughs. MRS.HILL Is it magic lemonade? Bobby looks up at her and frowns. BOBBY There’s no such thing as magic. I used science. Mrs. Hill Chuckles, and ruffles Bobby’s hair, then digs a nickel from her purse. MRS. HILL Of course, you little Einstein. She hands him the nickel, and Bobby pours her a cup, accidentally spilling a tiny bit. MRS.HILL Well thank you very much sir. She smiles, and walks away. Bobby grabs a cup, and throws the nickel in it. He looks at the lone nickel in the cup. He frowns. Bobby uses a black magic marker to cross out the 5 on his sign and replace it with 50. He smiles and sits behind the table again. SALLY, 9, walks a small dog down the street, towards Bobby. She stops in front of him and gives him a look. SALLY What are you doing? Bobby frowns and po
