Stylistic Analysis of Poetry;Introduction;The Cloud----by ?Percy Bysshe Shelley;;Ⅰ.At the Phonological Level;;From my wings are shaken the dews that waken The sweet buds every one When rocked to rest on their mother’s breast As she dances about the sun I wield the flail of the lashing hail And whiten the green plains under And then again I dissolve it in rain And laugh as I pass in thunder;Polysyndeton Polysyndeton?is the use of several?conjunctions?in close succession, especially where some might be omitted (as in he ran and jumped and laughed for joy).? Shelley used polysyndeton in this poem to increase the rhythm. And whiten the green plains under, And then again I dissolve it in rain, And laugh as I pass in thunder. ;Ⅱ.At the Lexical Level;Mostly used words;Ⅲ. At the Syntactic Level;Phrases;Ⅳ. At the Semantic Level;;; Contrast In additon, Shelley had put several contrasts in this poem as well, in order to achieve the effect of showing a vivid picture of the imagery. Eg.
