The Learning Tip of this unit is to listen to English more.So at first,the students will do a listening test.It is a story about a survivor of the terrible San Francisco earthquake.After listening,the students are asked to do some true-or-false exercises and answer some questions.The step is to improve the students’ ability to catch the useful information while listening.Then the students are asked to read after the tape to imitate the pronunciation and intonation,which is also a purpose of listening. Then the students will sum up what they have learned in this unit,including the knowledge about the earthquakes,useful words,phrases expressions and new grammar items.The students should frequently look back on what they have learned.Only in this way can they learn the language better. At last the students will do a project.This requires the students to put what they have learned in this unit into use.The students will first discuss the project in groups of four.Then they will form different groups and tell the new group members their plan.This step is to train the students’ speaking ability as well as the ability to cooperate with others.It also requires the students to reason what they are planning to do. ●三维目标 1.Knowledge: (1)The important words,phrases and expressions in this unit.
