Abstract
In order to investigate the ventilation performance in the equipment cabin of a high-speed railway train, this paper
uses computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method to simulate the air flow and temperature field in indoor and
outdoor space of the cabin when the train moves at 250 km/s in open space. The maximum average surface
temperature of the heat generation equipment is 56.5 oC. The results of this study provide suggestions for the
arrangement of the equipment, the design of the ventilating grilles, and selection of fans for the equipment cabin of
the high-speed railway train.
