Analysis on the Dam Concrete Self-Volume Deformation Behaviors of GuizhouHuanghuazhai Hydropower Station

Abstract—Total reservoir capacity of Guizhou Huanghuazhai Hydropower Station is 174.8 million m3, the maximum dam height is 110.0 m, totally concrete pouring of 2.8 million m3; the dam, adopted the MgO technology admixed in the cement plant, has become another RCC arched one adopted the rapid construction method in our province. This dam started to construct in Feb 2007 and completed in Apr 2011; formally stored water on Oct 18, 2010, and reached maximum storage level at the elevation of 780.30m on Feb 17, 2011. Since the dam construction to being put into operation, considerable complete observation data have been obtained; this paper mainly makes a systematic analysis on the observation data for the dam concrete self-volume deformation, so as to conduct a preliminary assessment on concrete self-volume deformation behaviors of the Huanghuazhai RCC arched dam.

Introduction
Huanghuazhai Hydropower Station, located in Duncao Township, Changshun County, Qiannan Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, is the 3rd cascade hydropower station on the main Getu River along the Mengjiang River drainage basin. The drainage area above the dam site is 2163km2, mean annual flow is 41.0 m3/s. The normal storage level of the reservoir is 795.5 m, dead water level is 770m and gross reservoir capacity is 174.8 million m3. The installed capacity of the station is 2 ? 30MW, the guaranteed output is 12.96 MW
