Meanwhile, as a sport which amuses its participants and benefits the health of its participants, the sport of crossbow is also of great social value. At present, with the modernization of society, the introducing of western sports as well as the changes in people’ s attitudes toward traditional sports, the continual development of the sport of crossbow is now facing challenges. The lack of participants, for instance, is one of such challenges. The modernized life style has greatly threatened the continual existence of the sport of crossbow; however, there is still a way to solve this problem, that is, to integrate this sport into various sport competitions. Though the solution has been found, new problems are also inevitable. For example, athletes are now changing the working mechanism of the traditional wood-made crossbows in order to achieve better performance in competitions, which certainly harms the maintaining of the traditional traits of the sport. Such problems need to be solved for better preserving this traditional sport of Miao nationality.
