On the basis of researches which had been sorted out, this paper defines the new generation of the peasant-workers and the self identification, also reviews the status of the new generation of the peasant-workers’ self identity, the factors that affect the new generation of the peasant-workers’ self identity, and how to rectify the self identity. Scholars thought that the new generation of the peasant-workers are in the dilemma of the double edge when their self identity tended to blurry and emerge the tendency of involution”. The existing system and policies must be improved and perfected, to upgrade the peasant-workers’ quality, and strengthen the new generation of the peasant-workers’ self identity. Key words: the new Generation of the Peasant-workers; Self identity; Summary 一、引言 从20世纪80年代以后，户籍制度开始松动，农民被允许进城从事流通和服务业，由此引发了大量的农民潮涌般的流向城市，产生所谓的“民工潮”。目前在城市的农民工总数有1.2亿，每年还以800万至1000万的数量逐渐增加。同时，其内部正发生着代际变化和更替，出现了新、旧两代农民工。 在社会学界，新生代农民工是指20世纪80年代以后出生，进入城市打工的农村青年，其受教育程度、职业期望、物质与精神的享受要求都远远高于老一代农民工，融入城市为其主要的生活目标，但制度壁垒与文化差异
