He was born in 1940, but seven years later his parents died, leaving him an orphan. After his graduation from primary school in 1956, he got a job. He worked first as a public servant, then a steel worker and then a tractor driver. And in 1960, he joined the army and became a truck driver. He did extraordinary deeds in his ordinary positions and took it for granted to help others. Wherever he went, whenever possible, he was always ready to help those in trouble. Unfortunately on Aug. 15, 1962, he lost his life in an accident. In March 1963, Chairman Mao called on people to learn from him, for he devoted his life to serving the people and set an excellent example to the whole nation. From then on, every year, in March, many activities and movements are organized to honor Lei Feng. Inspired by his spirit, more and more volunteers, who are called living Lei Feng, are following this role model in many fields. Such is Lei Feng, an ordinary soldier who is always admired for his unselfishness, generosity and devotion. I hope you can know something about Lei Feng, our national hero from what I told y
