The theory of sustainable development provides a new connotation for port logistics. The development of port logistics has promoting effect on the sustainable development of society, economics and resources. Based on deep analysis of the connotation of port logistics in the view of sustainable development, a new index system is established from aspects of three sub- systems of port logistics: the economical level, the resource utilization, and its contribution to the society.
