School of Wushu，Shanghai University of Sport，Shanghai 200438，China ； 2.School of Physical Education，Qiqihar University ，Qiqihar 161006，China ） Abstract: The authors reviewed changes made to ancient and modern Wushu from multiple perspectives, consid- ered that the introduction of Wushu into schools is a sort of advancement, but should not be limited to sports devel- opment, should be inherited and carried forward from the cultural perspective, with a standing at the top of the world attitude. The authors put forward that guarding the spiritual homeland of Wushu and protecting its basic characters, styles and technical systems are the holy historical mission and responsibility of modern people.
