Curriculum Reform in the context of reflections on the issue of basic education Abstract: From the beginning of the last century, China’s new round of curriculum reform of basic education has experienced a few years, in which success and failure, lessons learned, as a careful review. Current Basic Education Curriculum Reform in the following problems: First, the transplantation of foreign theories, ignored localization, a serious gap between theory and practice; secondly, the surface of bustling classroom, but a false self-learning mode of study misunderstand; the three, teaching materials the preparation of a sensation, but the quality of educational materials worrying; the Fourth, technology-based teaching methods, teaching arts and nowhere to look for; the five, education and scientific research of false prosperity, rare original results. As educators, should be based on the nation, and their offspring, and the future of education, a spirit of responsibility to seriously address these issues, analyzing its causes, in theory and practical dimensions of the ongoing curriculum reform of basic education to reflect on and criticized. We should make a careful summary for its success and failure, its experiences and lessons. The current basic education refrom has the following problems . First, simply transplanting foreign theories and neglecting their localization makes the theory and practice seriously divorced from each other. Second, the classroom teaching seems to be lively while students’ independent learning are neglected and the learning style is going astray. Third, the compiling work of teaching materials is vigorous, but the quality of those teaching materials are worrying.
