Abstract: The self-examination as to learn the knowledge, empowerment, an effective means to upgrade their qualifications, are increasingly being welcomed by the vocational students, but vocational students to participate in self-examination at the same time it also brings many problems. So, how to correctly understand this paper, self-examination, self-study examination of the significance of teaching in higher vocational schools, and how to develop and deepen self-examination of teaching in higher vocational colleges an active role in other aspects are discussed.

0 Introduction
Higher self-examination is the individual self, society and the state exam student a combination of forms of education, it and the general higher education, adult education together constitute a unique system of higher education in China. Meanwhile, the self-examination as an academic educational methods, due to its low threshold, low-cost, high quality and relatively flexible separation of teaching and testing the characteristics of which are increasingly being college students, especially vocational college students welcome. So, how to deepen our understanding of self-examination and further self-examination in higher vocational colleges to play a positive role of teaching is also worth thinking about issues.
