For China’s vocational education in Art and Design Thinking Abstract: The art of design education in China has experienced nearly a century of exploration, has also made rapid progress. However, in the professional art and design education, there are still some problems, such as the narrow field of study, not self-contained, light the practice of teaching emphasis on education, basic courses and specialized courses, and so fragmented. Therefore, I believe that, professional arts education reform should not be forced to slow, these colleges and universities can improve their teaching methods, students creative thinking, optimizing the aspects such as curriculum design, so that the art of design education in China continued toward better direction. China’s art and design education in the state for 50 years, achieved a great deal to develop a lot of talent, achievements are essential. However, the modern design education in China is still its infancy, especially in the 21st century, the world’s information age and knowledge economy to meet the overall quality of talent ever-increasing demand, we design the knowledge, values, ideas and knowledge, etc. the requirements of the economy still a considerable distance. Art and Design Education disciplinary construction needs improvement. 1. China’s vocational education, the status of art and design Although the art of design education in China has experienced nearly a century of exploration, but still at its initial stage, our understanding of the design, values, attitudes and the like with the requirements of knowledge-based economy still a considerable distance. According to the author’s research, found that professional art and design education in China has made great progress at the same time, there are still the following issues.
