Abstract: n accordance w ith t he occurrence condit ions of the g ently inclined t hin and medium
thick hard-t o-mine ore body w ith unst able roof in Jinchangyu Gold Mine, t he stability of roof is
studied by means of block t heory and numerical evaluat ion. T he pillar and room m ining met hod on
upgoing and dow ngoing w ith two layers is presented, w hich is reference f or t he resource develop-
ment and ut ilizat ion of similar mines in the home and aborad.
